I mentioned that the scene would be empty. You would rebuild the scene by dragging items from the Components panel.
The new file is less successful, and the recovered parts are less than half the size of the original file. It also has an empty scene, and you would rebuild it from the Components panel:
Exactly, i mean what in recovered model i don’t have object which i want to repair, next time i will use for all important geometry components not group.
So you don’t want any of the components that are in your model? That means there is over 47 Mb of unneeded stuff. Your corrupted file wasn’t much larger than the recovered one. That would make me think that there wasn’t much to your model. You should make sure you purge unused stuff from your models periodically. That could help to avoid corrupted files. Also make sure you are saving the file to an internal drive and not to the cloud.
Can you put the file online somewhere that I can download it? Also, look in the same folder as the SKP file, and see if there is an SKB file. You could rename that to end with .skp instead of .skb, and that file may open.
Oh god, I think my file has corrupted, too. I thought they were backed-up online. Is there any chance you can rescue anything from the file? It won’t open at all for me. Thank you.
Thank you so much. I’ve been able to open your file online. So I should be saving back-ups offline, which option from the menu should I use to do that Export or Download, and which file format should I save in? I don’t want another scare like, I was about to cry all evening!
None of it has been drawn with accurate measurements. The design is just to show the style that I think they want. Lots more work to do on it yet. But I will be making it bigger. I had just imported the airstream when it crashed - maybe that’s why it crashed…
