Regrettably that was not the solution. Thank you for the suggestion, it was worth a try, really thought it might work.

I fixed the problem by turning off Malwarebytes. Turn it on, problem comes back.

Most of the reports of this error involve saving on a remote disk or cloud, and result from the sync process very briefly interrupting SketchUp’s save process. I suspect malwarebytes testing the file for viruses inserts a similar delay that breaks SketchUp’s save.

Sketchup and saved files are all on my local drive. I have contacted Malwarebytes, but they do not respond to my support ticket. I find that the file will save after it errors out a few times, leaving a temporary file behind, so it is manageable to keep Malewarebytes on.

I get the same message if I save my SketchUp file after sending to Kerkythea and if Kerkythea is open. It’s been this way for years. I just save the file before sending to Kerkythea.

Well, I haven’t had to deal with this in a while. I really have no idea what changed so that it no longer does it. I’m still using all the same programs and the same laptop… I’ll blame it all on Windows updates. :crazy_face:
