Fencing/Landscaping option in Paint Bucket

Hello everyone.

It seemed that last year, SketchUp Pro 2025 did away with the Fencing and Landscaping options in Paint Bucket. I have been trying to add some trellis to the top of a fence and really didn’t want to have to ‘create’ my own trellis and wondered if anyone had a way around this? The Paint Bucket seems to have regressed in content with the last few SketchUp introductions. I’ve just installed the 2026 version and, again, it isn’t there. I am copying and pasting from old models. Thanks guys

You can use the material library from older versions to bring back those fences.

  1. copy the old materials folder into the new material folder (click her to know how to…)
  2. open/create new material folder, and redirect it to the old material folder.
    a. open sketchup
    b. open material library tray
    c. click: open or creeate a collection…

    d. search and select the old material folder
    (probably in ”c:/programdata/sketchup/sketchup(oldversion)/sketchup/”)
    e. select the ‘material’ folder and press [ select folder]
    d. you will find your old materials now listed in the new materials tray as “Materials<1>”
(to change the name, you could copy the old folder into the new and rename the folder to something like “OldMaterials”)

Hope this helps/works
