Is there a way to set up a library of commonly used line settings in layout? I commonly draw details with different colours and line weights and dashes, but there are really only 6-8 that I use. Having to set them up every single time is annoying, is there a way to have pre-set lines in a library of sorts?
You can set up a scrapbook for that. Another option is to add a set of styled lines just outside the paper space. Then when you want to use one of those styles with a given drawing tool, select the tool, tap S to get the eye dropper, click on the appropriate line to sample the style and then go on drawing.

Thanks, I supposed the combination strategy would work, I do have scrap books set up with lines, but then it drags and drops, and doesn’t apply it to the pen settings. So scrap book my settings and then put them on all the pages I work on. This is the only work around hey?
These aren’t work arounds!
If you’re going to have a scrapbook with different line styles, select the drawing tool, tap S, click on the desired styled line in the Scrapbook and start drawing.
What I showed in my screenshot comes from one of my custom templates. The set of styled lines is on a shared layer so it’s visible on every page and since it’s outside the paper space, it has no impact on the document when I export it. I prefer this to the scrapbook option because I have this set of lines that are specific to this particular template and I don’t have to go hunting through all my scrapbooks to find them when I want them. Either way works, though.
