Failed to update plugin

Results:

  1. If you are referring to Extension Warehouse, I appear as signed in.
  2. Logged out. Logged back in, with Trimble account.
  3. Trimble Connect still says “Failed to update Trimble Connect. Unable to read extension archive.”

I too have had at least four extensions do this, but all the others did update after a logout and login. TT_Lib2 was one, and maybe Photo Textures and Advanced Camera Tools? Cant’ remember for sure, but I think the others were all built-in extensions.

And finally, the update from Warehouse instead of Manager method worked for me too. Now I have the latest version of this extension that I don’t use but can’t uninstall.

Here’s the fix! Well, it solves the error anyway. Someone else is working on preventing it.

Please confirm in Reply if this does or doesn’t work for you and what your steps were. -Thanks!
PS - the only users that got stuck were the ones who skimmed. It’s short and mostly pictures, but I promise that all the words are worth reading!

Yea, some means of filtering is something we’ve talked about. The API even have facility to allow us to filter per extension (we have an ID of the sender).
