Exporting to PDF - 2D plan lines all dashed

Hi everyone,

I am super new to Sketchup, through an interior design course I am taking, and this is my first model in Sketchup. I tried to export the 2D graphic to a PDF and all my solid lines became dashed in the PDF document… What did I do? I checked the tags and they are marked as solid lines - except for the uppers I have outlined with intentional dashes.
Please help!!

Can you post your SketchUp file? Or are you using LayOut? My guess is that the edges are using a different tag than groups or components they belong to.

I’m having the same issue, I do not have a dotted lines tag

Sketchup HW 1.7~.skp (250.7 KB)

What version of SketchUp? What operating system? What graphics card? All these matter. NA is not an appropriate response.

Are you exporting from SketchUp or from LayOut?

If from SketchUp, try unticking Match Line Scale in the export options dialog.

Better to export the PDF from LayOut, though. I would add the labels in LayOut instead of in SketchUp but here’s what I get after setting up a scene correctly and sending to LayOut.

BTW, I notice you have made the Lines tag active. Leave Untagged active at all times. Only groups and components are to be given tags.

What version of SketchUp? Sketchup2024 Trial
What operating system? Mac Book Air 14.3.1 (23D60)
What graphics card? Apple M1?
