Dotted Lines Instead of Solid Appear when I Export from SketchUp to PDF

Hello, I have seen this issue reported here but no response. When I export my file from SketchUp into a PDF some lines that were solid in SketchUp suddenly appear as dashed. Please help! I have an assignment due for school and can’t use photoshop because of this issue.

Share your SketchUp file and your PDF so we can see what you are starting with and what you are getting.

Thanks for replying!

I’m not seeing the reason for the dotted lines but I do see them. It may have to do with the size of the model. I sent the file to LayOut and exported from there and I get much better results. See this:

Thank you so much for taking the time to do that for me! That was very kind of you. I opened in SketchUp and it does what I need! Wow - what a cool forum!

Just came here looking for a solution that allows clean non-dashed pdf exports from SketchUp instead of going the LayOut route.

There’s a bug in the dashes option for tags. It has to be left to default. Otherwise even though it shows a solid line for ‘BRIDGE’ tag both in the tags panel as well as the viewport, the exported pdf will show dashed lines.

Attaching my sketchup file made in 2023 pro version.

Here’s the exported file.

I’m running sketchup on Windows 11. I have Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU

Well, setting the Dashes to Default for the tag produces continuous lines.

I wonder if some of the icons in the Dashes menu are wrong. I too get short dashes with the first line tha looks continuous. One line that had a dash-dot icon produced continuous lines. I don’t know if it is your template that does this or if it is a system wide thing. @colin , bug?
