Exporting .skp to .dxf via pro version on macOs

Hi there, I’ve been trying to find ways to export via sketchup to .dxf - but I can’t seem to find it. I would need a dxf file for the CNC worker. I’m working on macbook macOs, sketchup pro.

I’ve tried to go via ‘file’ → ‘export’ → ‘2d graphic’ (seen this on some tutorial video’s), yet every time I try this all of sketchup crashes… Been sending out reports each time and tried reaching the sketchup helpdesk but after a week still no answer.

Would any of you be able to help me out how to convert .skp to .dxf on macOS? Perhaps I’m doing something wrong in the design pre exporting? (you can tell I’m new to this, but how to prep the model best for dxf export?)

Any help is much appreciated! Thanks, Maya

According to the help documents, SketchUp 2021 is not compatible with MacOS 10.13.6
@colin might be able to find your bugsplats and give a hint.

Might be something with the model. Sharing the .skp file would help us. It might also have something to do with the operating system. Your profile says you are using an older version of Mac OS than is supported by the SketchUp version you are using.

For CNC exports you should use the export as 3D model, then choose DXF. Try that, it may do better than the 2D export, and the file you get will be a lot better for the CNC machine.
