Exporting a video of 6 scenes, modest size model. AVI file. Setting of 480, the lowest, but the file is 25MB, which is too large to email. How to make a smaller file size
I can’t endorse a specific video file compression program although a number are available.
You may want to pursue an alternate tactic to transmit your video file (which will also work for transmitting SketchUp files). Using a cloud based server such as Dropbox or iDrive (there are many more to choose from…some free, some at a nominal fee), you can upload files of different types having sizes exceeding 25 mb where your recipients may access the file through the appropriate url, similar to opening an email attachment.
It there a way to make the AVi smaller to start with?
As mentioned in my response to your initial post, your options include using any number of video file compression software programs. A few that come to mind are:
- Any Video Converter
- Skysoft Video Converter
- Movavi Video Converter
You can research these online to find out more. There are many other video conversion, compression and editing software packages to choose from although the method described previously is preferred by many users for transmitting files of different types and sizes.
For even more info, here is a link to a recent Google search of file compression software that you should find helpful:
Beside reducing the pixel count, you can also reduce the fps setting. Even professional animators often use only 15 fps.
