On one of my shop computers I tried setting a shortcut for Explode. Explode did not show up in the list of shortcuts. I manually scrolled through the entire list of items in the shortcut window, and Explode just was not there. I thought it might be some sort of mistake, so I upgraded the operating system and installed SketchUp Pro instead of SketchUp Make which had been on the computer. Same issue! Any ideas?
Do you have a group or components selected within the model space? As with any Context menu items, you have to have something selected that would make the command show in the Context menu before it’ll show in the list and you can set a keyboard shortcut for it.

Mine is missing. I’m using my home pc that it works on but I set that up years ago and it’s still working but Explode does not show up on the shortcut list.
Don’t double post. It’s against the forum guidelines. Two of us responded to you in the old thread you dredged up. The menu item is only missing from the Shortcut list because you haven’t selected an object that can be exploded.

Ya, I have a hard time claiming to be perfect. Do you like brow beating people down for trying to understand something and get help for it? What else do you have to do right now. I’ve bene using SU for 12 years now and this hasn’t happened. You had to read two posts but you have time to complain about it. Maybe you don’t realize you come across rudely.

Why do you feel you need to chime in too. You had no concern about the topic of this thread other to comment on my post? Let me explain this to you. I only answered or replied to two posts by others. One was from '18 and one from '24. I thought maybe that the older one wouldn’t get any recognition so I posted in the newer thread. I didn’t create two new posts. Some posts get closed after a while. Anyone that answers these posts are doing it on their own time and that’s nice but it’s not like someone was forced to stop eating dinner to get to the forums to answer. Don’t you guys have better things to do?
