Error message: This does not appear to be a sketchup model

Hello are you okay؟
If you take a look at my file!
I hope I don’t lose my hard work.
I had the same problem last night,(this does not appear to be a SketchUp model) please help!
design 3.skp (9.4 MB)

I’m not sure what data that is, it may be randomly taken from your drive, and includes more than one file. Here’s how the start of the file looks:

That isn’t at all like a SketchUp file. Look to see if you have an SKB file in the same folder.

I’m sure that this is SketchUp file, but i have no idea why the file like this when you was opened. I uploaded both of them skp and skb files from ZIP file.
design 3.zip (12.5 MB)

The SKB is a SketchUp file, but I wasn’t able to recover anything from it.

That looks like random data. Check to see if there is an SKB file in the same folder.

Hi, I’m having the same problem, I retrieved a file from the trash and when I try to open it the message “this doesn’t appear to be a sketchup model” appears. Can someone help me? @colin
this is the file link WeTransfer - Send Large Files & Share Photos Online - Up to 2GB Free

We can try but only if you share the file with us.

Are you really using SketchUp Free, which is the web based version, as your profile says?

version pro,

Fix your forum profile, then.

Have you tried opening the .skb version of the file?

Sorry for the confusion, I don’t speak English very well, I’ll correct it

I can’t find the backup file, for some reason it saved it in .tmp

Where have you been saving the file?

Have you been saving the file you were working on to WeTransfer instead of saving it on yourinternal drive?

this is the link to the location MARINA_estudo preliminar_ versão 01-0.tskp - Google Drive

These links I sent are to the file I commented so you can see if there is a solution

Apparently you aren’t understanding my question. When you were working in Sketchup on this project, where were you saving the file? Was it to the drive in your computer or to some cloud location?

I saved it in a folder on the desktop
