While working on my bachelor project in architecture I’ve also developed Eneroth View Scale. This extension does 2 things: it sets visibility of certain scale layers based on a view scale and it sets the camera for th scale to apply to the computer monitor.
The former allows you to use the same model for many different drawings, by controlling the level of detail for the view. The latter allows you to much more easily perceive the size of what you are drawing, as it allows you to use a scale you are familiar to from paper drawings. This way you can use your eye measure much more easily than you normally can when working in front of a computer screen.
