I’m not sure which forum topic this belongs in, but since I’m talking about Eneroth’s Solid Tools, I thought I’d try the “Extensions” topic.
Eneroth Solid Tools on SketchUp 2026.1 (also 2026.0 and, I think, 2025) on my M1 Max MacBook Pro (running Sequoia 15.5) is running extremely slow doing either a trim or subtract with two intersecting curved solids. It does eventually finish the action, but is so slow the Mac is showing the spinning beach ball cursor for many minutes (3+), and the OS thinks SU is not responding (aka frozen). I did try the same trim and/or subtract using SU’s native Solid Tools, which completed the task in a second or two.
I’d honestly prefer to use Eneroth’s Solid Tools when possible since it maintains my component as the same component whereas SU’s Solid Tools converts the component being acted on into a new group. Eneroth’s Solid Tools has worked just fine in the past (SU 2024 and older)
I’ve included a sample file that shows the problem. Specifically, subtracting an Elipse ring from a central Hub assembly. The sample has both the unmodified Hub assembly component with the two cutter solids located as required, and a modified version of the component created by SU’s Solid Tools. Again, Eneroth’s Solid Tools got there without crashing, but it took a very, very long time.
