Hi, I want to reinstall Eneroth Slicer and am happy to pay for it again but no option comes up where I can make payment - can you help please?
Are you still using SketchUp 2019 as indicated in your forum profile? How are you accessing the Extension Warehouse?
Thank you for your reply. I will update the forum profile - I am using Sketchup 2025 -I’m accessing the Extension Warehouse from the menu in Sketchup.
So you have a current subscription. That’s needed. If you’ve already purchased once it you shouldn’t need to buy it again.
But I get the message “Eneroth Slicer isn’t licensed. Do you want to open the Extension Warehouse to get a license?” If I press Yes I get the attached screen with no Buy option?
Perhaps @colin can take a look at your license for the extension and sort it out. That is sometimes required after installing an already purchased extension in a new install of SketchUp.
Thank you - will he see this or do I ned to contact him - if so how do I do so? Many thanks, Paul.
I pinged him so he should see it. I’m not sure what time zone he’s in right now but I expect he’ll look in as soon as he can.
You have previously bought Eneroth Slicer. If you choose Install, does it get installed?
You could also try removing the extension with Extension Manager, restart SketchUp, and install it again. That would give the licensing a chance to correct itself.
Sorry, that doesn’t work - I tried it again to make sure. It installs but doesn’t licence, or give a buy option - is the licence a file - if so how is it named, please?
This has now got worse - I’ve just paid £12 plus tax to purchase DBS round edges 2 and this also shows “failed to obtain license”. Can you help please?
This sounds like an issue with the licensing server. I’ll forward it internally.
I tested with that extension, and on Mac it worked right away, but with Windows it gave the not licensed error.
I was going to try an idea, which I’ll tell you about in a moment, but first I checked the license file, and it had not been updated. I closed and reopened SketchUp, and tried the extension again, and this time it worked. The license file had also been updated.
So, try closing and reopening SketchUp, and see if the extension then works. If it doesn’t, try these steps that solved a related issue in the past:
Change the paths I give to be for 2025 instead of 2018.
I repeated my test with Auto Weld, and this time there were no problems, the license file was updated right away, and the extension worked. I tried deleting the entries in the license file, but still Auto Weld worked. And, the entitlement had been written back to the file.
The steps I gave about moving the EW.lic file out of the folder may help, and if it does, when you are signed in with your email that you bought under, and you first use the extension, the license file should get updated.
I also tested Eneroth Slicer, and its license was added right away, without having to restart SketchUp.
Thank you all - now resolved.
Many thanks.
Could you say what seemed to work? Was it restarting SketchUp, or did you need to move the EW.lic file?
