Eneroth Line Up Axes

My 64th extension has now been released. First new extension in 2 months; I hope you haven’t been worried :open_mouth: :stuck_out_tongue: .

Eneroth Line Up Axes is used to line up the local axes of the selected groups and components with the parent axes. One reason to do this is make the texture positioning match between groups, as faces lacking implicit material positioning have their textures drawn according to their local axes.

If you found this plugin useful, maybe Eneroth Visual Merge, for hiding the seem between adjacent groups/containers, is too.

This plug-in could also be very useful for (developing) Dynamic Components…

Never thought of that. It’s always fun to see new use cases for tools!

Great extension! Here is my test with Vray and one material with one texture.

It could just as easily break Dynamic Components! When you want to animate something like a rotation (doors opening and closing) via onclick actions, it’s easiest to set the axes of the part that moves so that the motion is simply an animation of RotX, RotY, or RotZ values. In this case, aligning the axis with the parent can break the animation.

It affects the selected groups/components so you can easily use it on some and not others.
