I recall from years ago that there was a tool for making dovetails in models. I searched in the Extensions Warehouse and found nothing. I then looked, hopefully, in the 3D Warehouse where I also found nothing.
Has senility taken control of my mind? Is this wishful thinking or some hallucinatory dream?
If anyone can tell me where to find such a tool I’d be much obliged for the info.

There’s also WWX Dovetails from Wudworx. Although it isn’t free it is my go to for dovetails.
Combined with Trim from Bool Tools 2 or Eneroth Solid Tools dovetails are even faster.
Dave is this compatible with SketchUp 2021? Their website hasn’t been updated since 2014!
Yes. It is compatible with 2021. My GIFs were done in 2021 a few minutes before uploading here.
The Drill tool is also very handy.
Thanks! I had looked at these maybe 5 years ago but shied away fearing that, like the website, they are not maintained.
I haven’t had real recent contact with the author but I expect if something changed that required an update, he would do it. As far as I can tell his code seems to be pretty bulletproof. I’ve been using it since before he released the tools and the set has always worked.
I can understand that but the tools do work just fine in SU2020 and 2021.
I just sent the author an e-mail to see if he will update his site.

I’m pretty sure that I had this plug-in on my old computer that failed 5-6 years ago. Those icons look very familiar.

I’ve used Joe Zeh’s Dovetail program (Swamp Road Woodworks) with SU 2017 Make. Not sure if it works on more recent versions. Also Auto Dovetail by Sean Regan- again, not sure if it works beyond SU Make 2017
Joe’s extension still works on 2021.
