I’m coming to SketchUp Pro 2015 from SketchUp Pro 8. In version 8 toolbars docked on the side of the window could be any number of columns wide and the sidebar would adjust to receive them. In 2015 and 2014 docking a toolbar to the side forces it to a single column of icons. The default Large Tool Set is hard coded to be two columns whether it’s docked or floating.
I know that multiple toolbars can be docked next to each other to create multiple columns but I’m very familiar with my toolbar layout in version 8 and would like to replicate it in 2015.
Is there a way to work around this single column restriction and allow individual toolbar sets to be at least two columns wide?
Oh yeah…I don’t really like the “new” toolbar icons but I guess if we’d kept up with new versions when they were released I’d be used to them by now. It looks like they were changed in 2014 or maybe even earlier.
