Although it has been a while since I used SU, I can’t understand when I create a new style, trhen update it, then save the file - I end up with the styles disappearing from the style box. I then have to recreate the style. Any ideas of what I am doing wrong?
I’m not following what you describe. Do you have SketchUp set to purge unused content when you save? If you do and the style isn’t currently in use or used by at least one scene when you save, the style would be purged since it would be unused.
If you are creating styles that you want to use in more than the one model you need to save them into a collection. Otherwise the styles won’t be available for other models.
Hi Dave You are probably bang on as in this new version it automatically comes up with purge unused and yes I have being doi9ng that thinking it was for unused components etc.How do I change it back and don’t do that? Then I can try again
Purge Unused purges unused components, materials, tags, and styles.
Turn off that purge feature in Preferences>General.

Click on the R in the pink circle, top right of the forum page. Then the person icon, Preferneces, Profile. Remember to save the changes at the bottom of the page.
