Hello Forum,
1.Isn´t it possible to create ongoing Dimensions (Wallthickness, Room1, Wallthickness, Room2, Wall, Room3 etc.)?
2.How can I add another Point to a already created Dimension?
Thanks in Advance! Greetings, Peter

Like this? Make the first dimension, then double click…
I’ve been using SketchUp and Layout for about 15 years and I never knew I could do this!
This is why I like coming on the forum ![]()
in the dimension window on your right. you can set it in different places.
you can also double click on the dimension, and simply drag the text around to change its position.
Awesome, Thanks a lot ateliernab!
Another Question:
Is it possible to select all Dimensions together, to change something (f. e. the Extension Lines) in one step?
If you are smart and put all dimensions on a layer, (all notes on another, all drawing on another, all logos on another, etc etc). then right click the layer, select all entities, and make your changes.
Is the Dimension window you are talking about in SketchUp Make
No, we are talking about LayOut.
How about in SketchUp 2017 Layout
Wouldn’t be available with SketchUp 2017 Make.
There have been a number of changes to the Dimension tool since 2017.
