Deselect function?

Is there a way to deselect all selected geometry (not clicking in empty space)?
I’m working in a house at the moment and it’s annoying to need to go outside to deselevct.

Have you tried Esc or Ctrl+T?

Esc doesn’t work. Not tried ctrl t, will try now.
