Good afternoon,
There is some text attached to diagram downloaded from the 3D warehouse, and can’t delete it. I’ve tried to open the group, then highlighting the text, without responding to the delete key. thanks
Try using the outliner to select the items you want to erase. If you share the model here maybe I can help.

Open the object for editing. Then in Model Info>Text, click on “Select all leader text”.
If the text gets highlighted, click on the title bar above the main menu heading to return the focus to the main window and press Delete. If the text doesn’t highlight you may need to open one or more additional group/component levels to gain access to them. If so, repeat the above steps until the text is gone.

You should make a habit of adding 3d warehouse objects to a separate modeling space and clean them up before adding to your model.
A warehouse link to the object would be an easy option for us to check the issue.

Thanks, in previous files I’ve opened in Sketchup I was careful to keep imported models, or models with possible defects separated from the main file to avoid this problem, which should have been done in this situation.
What a PIA this is!. You have to keep digging in to the objects until you get to the text entities. Some are buried in a door knob component (which is overly detailed for the way it is used in your model, anyway.
I’d be inclined to delete the door knobs altogether.
And the latch.
Do you seriously need to show the door hardware on the doors in this model? Do you even need the doors?

I know there is excessive details in my model. I didn’t realize the text info would be found in the door fixtures of the building itself. Also, when I created the interior of the building, I repeated furniture components in the building which is probably why there is so much text wording.
Yes. Of course. Every single door knob and latch have that text. Fortunately you were making components so you should only have to edit one of each.

Consider installing Selection Toys to help isolate and select text, dimensions, etc. Also consider updating to 2026.
