Can't Delete Text

Whenever I use the text button to reveal the square footage of a floor system in Sketchup Pro, I can’t get the text to disappear afterwards. If I click on the floor group to edit it, the text disappears from the screen so I can’t delete it. But, when I back out of the group, the text is still there. It’s very frustrating. Can someone help, please?

If it disappears, it’s not a part of the group. Can you edit it without editing the group?

Can you post your model?

I just discovered why the issue was occurring. I had the Hide Rest of Model toggled on. When I toggled it off, I was able to delete the text.
