First time user. Downloaded a model from 3D warehouse. Part of it was blue and part was red. I can not delete or move the red portion now, it is stuck in my drawing. Any idea of how to remove it? Thank you
Components in red are locked. Right click on the locked component and choose Unlock. Then you can delete it.
Which version of SketchUp are you actually using? The web based version?

Thank you very very much!! It has frustrated me, I have tried multiple things and no luck. You replied promptly, and your answer solved my problem in about 15 secs. Oh man, nice feeling. It says that I have Sketchup 2025. Haven’t used it in years and this is the first time I have ever downloaded from the warehouse. Sure saved me a lot of time rather than making some components myself. Take care and thanks again.

So you are using the desktop version, not the Web version. Please correct your forum profile. That information helps us help you.
Now that we know you are using the desktop version we can complete the instruction. After you’ve deleted the unwanted component(s) go into Window>Model Info>Statistics and click the Purge Unused button. This will purge any unused components and then materials from the model file. Deleting the component alone from the model space doesn’t remove it from the model file.
Got it. Have the profile changed to reflect the proper version and then purged the unused components. Thanks again.
