The Default Tray does not respond properly.
He seems to “freeze” and performs the actions extremely slowly.
For example, if you want to create a new scene and click on the + sign, nothing happens. Only if you stand on some point in the model and click the action “awakens”, but again there is a freeze until we click on the model again.

I have tried going back to 2022 instead of 2023 version and it works well . Does it means that in 2023 ther is a bug ?
Does it happen on every file or is there an specific file where this is happening?
Have you updated the drivers of your gpu?
Your profile says you’re using the 2020 version, you should update it.

I worked on version 23. The problem appeared suddenly and it is in any file.
While waiting for an answer, I went back to version 22 which is still installed on my computer and I work without any interruption. I don’t understand why you see that I am working under version 20 when SketchUp Pro 2022 appears on my screen in the top row.
I didn’t think about updating the graphics card driver because I work with it without any problems and I don’t know if there is a new version. I have been working with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB for several years and there is no problem.

There’re a many bugs in the 2023 version.
Are you still on Windows 7?
We here cannot see what is on your screen so we must rely on what information you yourself have given us in your profile:
If this is true the problem might be that newest versions of SketchUp do not work correctly on your discontinued Windows 7 that is many years already without support.
I am working with WIN 10 and SkethUp 23. As I have wrote I returned back to version 22 and it works well
