Is this guy doomed to not be a solid because I used the freehand tool too free-handedly?
I don’t know why I am struggling to fix this, but I am.

When I put it through the web version it tells me over a thousand tiny edges.

so I was surprised how big it was, I suppose you enlarged it to find where it was causing a problem.
here is a quick fix. it’s a solid now.
this is (one of) THE thing solid inspector2 doesn’t see while solid inspector 1 does. I assume the web/ipad version is based on the more recent version.
it’s now a printable solid.
They don’t make trucks like they used to! You’ve captured the classic beauty of a real Lego vehicle. Bravo!
Hahahaha this is my next 5:1 3d print ![]()
I pulled the photo from your thread. ![]()
Very nice!
Curtains not reaching the ground on the right?
They do… I just have the floor marked out in available walking space so I don’t plan to build outside of what is physically possible and it makes a weird angle for front viewing.
While I’m here, this is what is currently up. I consider it “boring” as far as sets go, just a simple box farce. They did all the set dressing so well that I just want to go and tidy the house up, but no, it’s a part of the play.
Yeah, I just yawned.
still, cool ! ![]()
I couldn’t count how many sets like that I have built over the years, I can even picture the tape joints between the flats. But I must say, me eye keeps being drawn to the missing architrave on the ‘arch’. It’s in your design but not in the finished set, someone needs a good talking to.
It’s me. I need the talking to.
I have all new assistants this year, and they’re still learning how to realize the plans. The wall on the left side of the arch comes in at such an extreme angle and with only 4 days to build this entire set from scratch, I decided I didn’t have the desire to compound-mitre in some crazy math and just needed to get the set up.
For the record, I dislike not only the missing uprights, but also the choice of dividing (both) arches into thirds for the tapers.
Every time I walk through the theatre this last week, my eyes are immediately drawn to that center crown up on the blue green side where they missed alignment by almost a half a board.
Yes I saw that too but didn’t want to mention it. ![]()
Done. You may notice that the director got his left and right backwards when directing the show, so I flipped it for him.
well left and right are really complex to master. it depends on how you’re turned. aren’t there specific terms in english for both sides of the scene ? in french it’s cour et jardin, courtyard and garden.
it comes from the way the theatre was at the louvre.
