“The Wombles of Wimbledon Common are we”

Growing up in Australia in the 70’s, the Wombles were ahead of their time.

LOL! Yes, I remember your rant, and good for you for stepping up and asking. How great that such a massive organization had a fun reply.

What a massive place that was. There was even an entire parking garage just for the employees if I understood what I saw.

Countries should hire their catering team to help organize things. They were a very efficient army.

I always thought moles were more likely to be associated with chemistry than engineering… :joy:

… Why?

Because of the mol (unit) ? I guess ?

It seems to me that digging holes is more of a civil engineering exercise…

My son has been taking a chemistry class and has been talking non-stop about moles…!

In order to practice section planes (which i will admit to not completely understanding yet) I’m doing Artholomew’s house… he lives in a half-buried barrel where he works from home as the local engineer for the rodent village.

I want to work on it…. But my brain isn’t playing along. I can’t do the inside until I get the outside sorted. What “found objects” might make good (read interesting) window frames?

A pair of glasses cut up and hastily secured to the sides of hastily cut holes to make openable windows….

A small wagon wheel (likely a wheelbarrow wheel) set into the high end wall of the barrel to create a nice frame with a clear pot lid mounted over the outside which can be raised and lowered via this pulley for some nice airflow (air out the place after various experiment-based explosions)

And a broken lamp globe as a greenhouse… for good measure.

That mouse could definitely button up inside the barrel to escape cats, owls, and other predators.
