ok, so where do you draw the line (no pun intended) of knowing if its a face or a surface. They seem the same to me.
IE, i draw a circle. The front is a face and so is the back, but they are also surfaces…right?
Or is a surface what distingushes a 2d object from a 3d object. The sphere is a bunch of faces hooked together to form a 3 dimensional surface. so basically a face with xyz is surface?
thanks
I think the only (cumbersome) way to draw/trace lines on a sphere using arc tool is to find the center of the arc radius you are tracing over and then use the arc tool with the segment count made to fit the segments you want to trace. ( in demo 3). The 2 point arc tool wont line up as its centre is arbitrary.
Also, you can use the arc tool to radius your corners as long as they stay on the face. (adding to Box’s demo)

yeah, that looks pretty cumbersome to remove part of the sphere, then use the arc tool to trace the lines etc. I think i will stick with the other explained methods haha.
thanks for all the help everyone:)
