Cutting a bevel on a detailed surface

i have this detailed piece that I want to cut a bevel on. I can’t figure out how to do it easily…or at all without destroying it. what is the best way to do this? thank you

You could use multiple Push/Pull steps to do this but if I was doing it, I would model a “cutter” volume and use a Boolean Trim operation to cut the bevel. You could use Subtract from the native Solid Tools or, better, Subtract from either Eneroth Solid Tools or Bool Tools 2.

The manual version if you don’t have access to solid tools.
A tap on ctrl will allow pushpull to go all the way through.

Thank you!

Thank you, this method is great for me. thanks for making me aware of solid tools!

It’s just a button that does the same as pressing the “delete” key

You’ll find it in the “standard” toolbar

or under the “edit” menu
