Creating Shadows Making underlying JPG lighter and darker

Would anyone know if there is a way to separate the building and the jpg of the site plan so I can cast shadows onto the jpg?

Thanks so much, these forums have been so helpful with learning how to successfully model while in school.

Yes. Just put the map on its own tag and turn off its visibility.

Thanks for the quick response! Im trying to still have the site plan visible with the shadow overlaying the jpg. Is that possible? I tried what you suggested but when I modify the shadows, the site place still gets lighter/darker.

I misunderstood. I thought you wanted to see shadows without the jpeg.

I think the shadows are falling on the image now, they are just very faint. Try using the shadow sliders for light and dark to give them some more strength.
