I’m trying to create a curved gravel garden with curved soil beds and curved gravel pathways. The problem is all the models for soil and gravel i find are rectangular and i dont know how to shape them accordingly. Does anyone know how to cut down a model from the warehouse by using freehand to create the curves i would like. or even use a curve tool.

Why not just model the bed with the shape you want.
Can you post a picture of what you intent to model?
It’s models like this downloaded from the warehouse that i’d like to be able to create curves with or cut sections out freely if possible. The gravel sections i download come in the same format and it would just be nice if I could have some freedom and manipulate them in the way I’d like, if that makes any sense.

You can either draw it as you like and add materials as you like
Or you can use the TrueBend plugin to bend models you find in the warehouse.
When I asked to post a picture I was meaning a picture showing the kind of curves that you want.
Even a photo of a hand drawing may be sufficient.
I am asking this to try to guide you in using the best tools that you can use. I see that ArchiVR or Chris has already shown how to use the arc tool.
You can add to that the Scale Tool and a few other tools and plugins.
But, the first thing to do is to complete your profile by indicating which SketchUp version you use, which Operating System and the make and model of your graphic card.
