Crashing when trying edit a group or component just after inserting/creating

I have been having a consistent bug in the last 2 or 3 updates to sketchup. If I go to double click on either a group or component that I have either just created or inserted into a drawing, the program will just freeze and I have to force quit. It’s not every time though which makes it frustrating. I never know whether or not editing will cause it to lock up. It happens at least once a day, sometimes several times. It doesn’t seem to be tied to a problem file or limited to certain groups/components as it happens in new files and with new components/groups. I’ve sent many bug reports in regarding this. At first, I would detail what I was doing and all that in the bug report, but they have gotten so common, I’ve given up. I was hoping the most recent update would fix it but it is still there. Anyone else having this issue?

System Specs:

Sketchup Version 26.2.242

OS: MacOS15.7.9

Apple M1 Ultra, 64GB Ram

Do you mean you get a BugSplat window? If so, after you send the report, note down the reference number you receive after submitting it, and share it here. Then @colin can take a look at it.

I suspect one of your extensions; which ones do you have installed? Have you ever tried it without any extension?
