Sketchup Pro 2017 crashing all of a sudden

All of a sudden today Sketchup crashes anytime I select a group or component.

I can load a complex drawing, orbit around it, draw things - but the second I either select a group or component, or make a new group or component it crashes immediately and Bug Splat pops up. Even if it’s new drawing with a simple box: if I turn it into a group it crashes. (one example: Crash Report #111479)

I had a marathon session all day yesterday and last night with no issues, then today it just doesn’t want to work.

I do not have any automatic updates turned on - everything on my system is exactly as it was yesterday.

Any ideas?

Get the latest SketchUp Pro version 17.3 which should take of High Sierra issues

Ug I let my support renewal expire so I think I have to renew it for $180 just to get the 17.3 update
