Copy along 2 paths to make cone shape

Hello,

I’m trying to design a table base made out of steel rods. I am trying to use path copy, but it causes issues. First photo shows what I want.

Second photo shows how path copy works. (all angles remain the same around the path). What I need is something where path copy actually follows both paths and references top and bottom. Or some alternative way to make rods around the base.

What you are trying to accomplish would be more easily done by using Rotate/Copy to make a radial array about the center. The method you are using just won’t work.
