I want to create a component such as pre-drilled shaft for a bolt where the surfaces also include a countersink. Think of the geometry as a 1/4 through hole with a 1/8 deep round counter sink. The hole is open at both ends. I create the component set the axis, glue to any surface, and set to “cut opening” and replace selection with component. When I invoke the component on to a solid that is exactly the depth as the component, both ends are visible as embedded circles yet covered with the skin of the solid geometry. How can I get the event to yield a final through drill access hole
Glue to and cut opening can only be applied once, on one surface.
You would need another approach with more ‘cut opening’ components inside a shell component.
