New to Sketchup on iPad and need to understand how to align components.
That’s pretty vague…Activate the move tool, grab a corner of one and drag it to match a suitable corner of another? Or are you looking for an align tool like found in 2d drawing apps? If the latter, there is no equivalent tool built into SketchUp. 3D makes the notion of “align” uncertain without further constraints.

Also consider that in many cases, creating new components in place where they will “live” can be easier than making them and moving them into place to align with their neighbors.

And understanding how the creation of the Component Axis is relevant to how it is inserted into the model.
