Complex topo to a solid

Dear All,

Is there an extension or procedure for taking a complex 3D topo (imported from an .stl file) and making it a solid. I am trying to print a 64 acre chunk of land and make a 3D print.

I have scratched my head until my locks are all tangled up, and I still can’t come up with a solution.

Any help is much appreciated.

Regards,

Tom

The file is attached. I am using the latest version of SketchUp.

not on my computer, but you could try either Eneroth terrain solid (or something like that), it adds a skirt to your model. and if you have fredo6 joint pushpull, you could try a vector push to give an uniform thickness.

The terrain model is quite poorly created, especially with the border edges having a lot of problems.

It was easier to create a 2D terrain that I could then conform over the original terrain, and then add a thickness to make it a 3D solid.
