Can I import a jpeg file and use the colors from the file on my SU model?

Yes. You could sample parts of the JPG with the eye dropper in the Materials Edit window.

Dave,

I am going to build a new computer with SSHD, what components do you recommend. I will probably get into VR in the near future.

I don’t have any specific recommendations for you. Get a decent nVidia Geforce card, multiple SSHD so you can store your files on one separate from the C:/ drive, and a bunch of RAM. There are a variety of threads here talking about computer specs for those buying new. I would do a search and see what you can glean from them.
