Clicking on "create material" completely freezes SketchUp every time, regardless of file

As the title says. Why is this happening all of a sudden? Tried all different combinations/files and it freezes every time. I can only come out of it by ending the task in the task manager.

Any timely help is appreciated. As usual, something like this only happens to me when I have a looming deadline…
