Changing the line style of a line

Continuing the discussion from Changing line's color:

Hi Everyone,
I am new to sketchup 2016. How can I just change the thickness, colour and line style of the green triangle only? Thanks.

You can’t change the line style or thickness of individual edges. You can paint edges with materials or colors and set edge color by material in Styles Edit.

Thx Dave. Actually I am a high school teacher and I want to teach students 3D figures with different views. Sometimes I want to stress some lines (eg make it dotted) for illustration purpose. Sketchup is a very good software which I am look for. Will it be possible in the future to highlight individual lines? Thx

I don’t know what the future holds for that sort of thing. Those who might won’t tell. The best you can do for now is display the edges in color.

u can change the color, thickness and line style with 2d tool extension

this way u can change the color style and thickness with 2d tool extension

where do you get the 2d tool extension plugin?

Sketchucation’s Extension Store.
