Can I change line color, weight & type. If I draw a line in SU-Make can I change the color from black, make it thicker & change it to a broken line for instance ?

You can make Profile edges thicker and you can change the color of edges. There’s no native support for broken lines and you can’t set lineweight of individual edges in SketchUp. The available settings are under the Edge settings in the Edit tab of the Styles window.
