Can't unhide parts of component/full components

hello i’m doing a project for school. teacher never answers so im better off trying here.
i tried checking other posts to try and figure it out but i’ve had no success.

i have to use specific components that i download from the 3d warehouse. they’re somewhat old and i’m using the 2024 version. dunno if that matters
when i load them in, be it in a project or empty file, some components wont show up, and some only partially. the box is there but not the item. i’ve tried doing the unhide all, checking hidden geometry and the best i got is a dotted line contour of the missing parts

i saw others talking about nested items, tags, etc. i checked the expand button in the default tray and i can see the many parts that make up my components, but no way of making them show up.

maybe it’s something super obvious i’m missing but i’m new and would still appreciate the help.
i put only 2 in the file to explain what i mean, but ill probably stumble by others with the same issue. i just want to know how to deal with them in the future.

thanks

Expand in the Components panel will show the In Model components that are child components nested inside the two plant components… Expanding works for me.

There are no hidden groups or components in your model, though.

ok, i see. now how would i be able to make them look colorful how they’re meant to instead of the outline? this is what im stuck with

It looks to me as if you have the Face Style set to Wireframe. When I opened your model I saw this. Wireframe will not display any faces.

The Face Style is set to Shaded with Texture and Hidden Geometry is turned on in the View menu. Turning the hidden geometry off makes the plant look like this.

If you have Face Style set to Shaded with Texture and are still seeing what you showed, try updating the graphics drivers for your graphics card. Or you may need to switch to the Classic graphics engine in Preferences>Graphics.

i check all and it was the graphics in the end. thank you.

You’re welcome.

What did you do? Switch to the Classic graphics engine?

Historically the Radeon graphics cards haven’t been the greatest for 3D modeling.

Yeah I switched to the classic engine
