Can't select multiple volumes to make a larger group

Hi,

I’m making a patio door out of simple volumes, but can’t select more than one in order to group them into the entire unit.

There’s a simple sub-frame, the frames of the sliding doors, and the glazing. I’ve placed each in the correct relation to the others but can’t select them all at the same time. Each has been ‘grouped’ [Command - G] so they are self-contained. When I have one volume selected and try to select another, the first is de-selected.

I’ve tried selecting them all by using the cursor to define a box around them, but no luck.

Any ideas?

What happens if you hold Shift or Option while selecting the groups?

Make sure that you are not inside the context of one of your components. If so, other components will not be accessible.
