Hey ! I Have a material that is traslucent but into Layout and after exporting it to pdf its looks like solid, i have tried the hybrid mode but the PDF turns out looking quite bad and pixeled, i ussually use vectorial mode.
Transparency isn’t supported in Vector rendering. You need to use either Raster of Hybrid rendering. This is from a PDF of a Hybrid rendered viewport.
The display quality may be set to less than High which might make it look bad in LayOut (but speed things up for you) but if you set the Output quality to Medium or High it should be fine.
I tried but even with the highest quality it looks bad, but took off the JPEG compression and it looks better, not as vectorial but it may do so far, thanks!
How much have you enlarged the PDF on screen?
Note that the edges of the pipe and fittings are being rendered as raster behind the transparent regions. A better way to handle this might be to stack viewports with the pipes and fittings shown in the lower viewport and the transparent box in the upper viewport. Same scene, different tag visibility.
Thats an excellent option! Thank you so much!
You’re welcome. BTW, I made an example. Here’s the result in the PDF.
As always, with stacked viewports put each viewport in the stack on its own layer.
JPEG compression works best with photographic images. With flat colours and linework (like in SketchUp output) it tends to result in ugly artifacts. So it is better turned off.
