when using the offset command, I type the value that want to offset but it just does not accept it. I try holding the mouse, not holding it, typing and hitting enter, typing and hitting space bar, and it just offets the object in the point where I click with the mouse. with other commands, such as push pull, I type the value and it immediately accepts it. What is wrong?
First click on the face that you want to offset then type in the value and hit enter.
If you are offsetting several lines the same distance you can also double click on the face after selecting the offset tool as long as your dimension is already set.
