Can't login into Sketchup Pro 2022 Mac

Haven’t seen the one on the left before, but the one on the right is what shows up the first time you try to open the app. You would want to click Open, and then see if you can sign in at the welcome screen.

Thanks for your reply Colin. This is not the first time I’ve opened SU 2022. I’ve been using it for several months. Thes issues just started and I’ve tried everything your team has suggested.

If you see that message, it is the first time SketchUp in that location has been run. That would happen if you had reinstalled from the disk image, it shouldn’t appear when you start a second session of running SketchUp form the same location.

People have seen auth token issues in various ways, including when trying the web version of SketchUp. I’m starting to suspect that there is a percentage chance of it working or not working, and that the work arounds may not be helping. But, you try a work around, and next time you don’t get the error, making it seem like the work around helped.

In other words, make sure that you are opening SketchUp from inside the SketchUp 2022 folder, in Applications, and if you see the error message close SketchUp and try again. If you have been opening SketchUp from an icon in the Dock, command-click on that icon and it will show the folder where SketchUp is located.

Chatted with Tim, sounds like the sign in issues were solved, and you were looking at an oddity where going into a group would make the model disappear. I think that it’s a strange variation of the clipping issue. The zoom extents and save that Tim suggested should fix the problem, and it hopefully won’t reoccur.

The current authentication process is horrible. I have trouble going from my laptop to desktop all the time. Have to go in and deauthorize the same dang computers over and over to to use the software. It seems to just keep getting worse. To update to 2022 I had to logout of Sketchup website and old version…make sure to close everything sketchup , then deauthorize all , pray…try logging in once–fail…try again—fail…spin around 3 times—fail now sick…close it try again—fail…reboot… then maybe it works.

I am running OS12.2.1 and I had the same issue with the number of seats available as 0/1. I opened SU21 with a sign in via the web page and then opened SU2022 while SU2021 was still open, which worked, and SU2022 continues to work.
