You’re getting the Bug Splat during opening? Typically that is caused by bad graphics drivers. What is the graphics card in your computer? (Please complete your profile.) Go to the graphics card’s manufacturer’s website and get the latest drivers to install. After installing them, shut the computer down completely and reboot.
There are many ways to find it. One way is to start typing ‘system’ in the Windows search field. Open System Information. On the left click the + next to Components and then click on Display. The pane on the right will populate with the graphics card information.
If It is a Quadro P2000, go to the Nvidia site and get the latest drivers to install.
Here it goes again. .Skp is not opening…getting bug slap. I updates the drivers through Dell Support Assist. Re-installed .Skp going crazy. Please help.
Also make sure you installed SketchUp correctly. That involves right clicking on the downloaded installer and choosing Run as administrator.
Are you sending in the Bug Splat reports with your e-mail address included? Maybe tomorrow @colin can look up the reports when he is at work and give you more information.
I do see something interesting in the logs in the bugsplat you sent in. SketchUp only got as far as the testing of your graphics system. It found out that you are using the Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630 GPU for your main monitor, and the NVIDIA Quadro P1000 GPU for the second monitor.
Did you go on to do an End Task, because SketchUp was not apparently working, or did a bugsplat window appear without you doing anything?
You could try what Mike said, and detach one monitor, or something that may be quicker is to set your display to mirror the desktop to both monitors. Do either test and see if SketchUp runs ok.
We do have the same symptoms with another customer, and your log gave me a new idea to try with them, as well as asking them to try plugging straight into HDMI.
