Hello everyone,
Very new to SketchUp and I’m having trouble splitting the line on the rectangle I have created because I want to use the push pull tool to recess the top half of the rectangle. I cannot select just the top half of the box above the line and have made sure to redraw the line so it meets both ends.
any help would be apricated!

Hello !
If the face of your rectangle doesn’t split in two, it means that your line doesn’t go from one edge to the other, or that the face of your rectangle isn’t coplanar.
Your entities are not in the same context. Some of them are inside of a group or component.

Didnt realize i had to be inside the component to do that.
