Cannot logon to sketchup

just renewed an expired license yesterday. I cannot logon to use sketchup.

any advice?

You renewed your subscription? What version of SketchUp? Your profile says 2019. What happens when you try to log in?

Yes version 2019. When I log in it asks for a serial number. I don’t have one.

You must have renewed your subscription if you did that the other day. They haven’t done Classic license reneals for some time. In that case you wouldn’t have a serial number. You would sign in under the Subscription tab with the e-mail address and password you used when you purchased the subscription. @colin might be able to assist you with that further.

I did look at this yesterday, and didn’t see any problem with your account.

At what point do you fail to sign in? If you’re taken to a sign in page and it’s mostly blank, check to see if you are using ad blockers or other settings that prevent redirects.

When I double-click to open SketchUp, this window is what persistently opens:

I think that combination only shows up if you’re signed in after having deauthorized all devices. Check the avatar to make sure you’re using the same email address that you use in the forum, and then try a sign out, sign in again. That gives the subscription system a chance to authorize you again.


A lot of what you have explained in your last email has gone over my head.

Can we please have a five minute conversation? I promise I will take copious notes if we can actually talk!

I’m looking at forum replies while trying to tidy up my apartment! I think I can explain what I was saying, with a screenshot.

Click on the avatar icon in the upper right of the welcome screen:

Choose Sign Out. When the web browser tells you that you are signed out, switch back to SketchUp and click the Sign In button. Make sure to sign in with the email address you use in the forum (not because you use it in the forum, but because that is the email address that has the Pro subscription assigned to it). After you are signed in, come back to SketchUp, and I think things will look ok.
