Cancel rendering process in Layout

Hi Community,

i have a qustion about layout: IS there any possibility to cancel the rendering if this has started? Sometimes we have big models with a huge count of geometry. When i start rendering in Hybrid mode, it need very much time until it ist done. In this time i can not use Layout for any other work. Unfortunatley there is no possibility to stop this or to see how long the render is expected (like a status bar). Now since 2019 there is a possibility to create plugins also for LayOut. Does anyone know about a option to add such functionality to the system?

Good question, Gerhard!

It’s 2025 and we don’t have a Cancel option yet.

As some may have guessed, I come to this forum to write this reply shortly after an “oh darn” moment …working in LayOut realise I forgot to change a Raster mode to Hybrid because I had 3d vegetation in the scene :frowning:

Then it’s a matter of force-quitting LayOut (lose the last hour’s work) and reopen the file. Because Hybrid rendering may take hours/forever.

P.S. I don’t mentally say the word “darn”, I use a much stronger word!!
