Can you update all scenes at once with a new model added?

So I’ve looked around the web, and I can’t find an answer to my specific question anywhere. I have what I’m going to call my “base model” that is fully built and complete. I would like to make my scenes with that model, then make copies and edit the model in those copies and those edits reflect on the scenes. For example (and clarity), I have an X-Wing. I want to make scenes of the canopy closed, half open, and open. I also want scenes of the landing gear retracted, half extended, and fully extended. And obviously, I want scenes of the s-foils closed, half open, and open. Then I want to copy that model, say, five times. The first copy I want to give markings for Red 1. The second copy I want to give markings for Red 2, and give it a different astromech droid. And so on… Is there a way to do this? Or am I stuck making each ship and then setting up each scene with each ship? I am on Sketchup Web and Sketchup IPad at the moment, if that makes a difference.

You need the various states set as a separate tag. That would be easiest. Make a closed tag then copy to an open state and save that as a separate tag. Then you can actually make an animated clip scene to scene by turning on and off appropriate tags in each scene.
